I take creative approaches to deepening the practice of writing through group workshops and individual instruction for writers of all ages. Using writing exercises and games, suggested readings, and collaborative revision strategies, I focus on engaging my students’ voices and natural self-expression. My students have been published in literary journals, won national recognition for their writing, and been accepted to prestigious writing programs.

Coaching
Need some guidance on a big project or on developing a writing discipline? From science research papers to artist fellowship materials, I bring an experienced and gentle approach.
Indian cooking
While not a “literary art,” this creative discipline inspires wonderful storytelling and poetic flavors. For groups of up to 5 people, start with a tour of a local Indian market for ingredients and then prepare a meal with hands-on cooking instruction. My flat-rate teaching fee is $300, and the ingredients’ cost depends on your menu. Email me for more details.
