How does an artist capture the essence of conscious experience, especially of beauty? These watercolor herbaria are “pressings” of scenes observed and kept by brushstroke and accident. They are aliquots of time collected in the vasculum of a daily meditation practice in the early part of 2021. Of thought and non-thought, specimens of experience of consciousness take form and color, dimension and light.
